2016
Geddes Gallery, London
Solo exhibition in a former Italian Deli in Kings Cross curated by Alice Bygraves. This exhibition brought together several years of work inspired by Italian food and culture, confronting a relationship between food and language using the rules surrounding pasta shapes as a parallel to those used in grammar. It features work from my Ravioli Paving Slabs, an ongoing series of pasta recipes illustrated in Perspex and brass set into Jesmonite. These works have a hidden performative element where the buyer is required to cook the pasta dish for us when I deliver the work, building in a social element and playing on exchange values.
